🌟 Welding Innovation in Action! 🌟
Last week CTE's Welding Program became a hub of expertise as we welcomed distinguished guests from Cornell NanoScale Facility, Swagelok, Tompkins Cortland Community College and OCM BOCES for an immersive exploration of orbital welding, a cutting-edge technique set to revolutionize the welding landscape. 🚀🔧
Our welding students were the first in our area to get an immersive experience in orbital welding, receiving hands-on instruction and bending tubes to specifications set by industry. With technology giants like Micron moving into our region, the timing of this program couldn't be more perfect. Our students are not just witnessing change – they're actively shaping and participating in the future of welding technology. 💻⚙️
The week-long lesson culminated into a trip to Cornell University where students utilized specialized equipment to actually perform orbital welding. Students explored the real-world applications of past orbital welding projects and discussions about future endeavors on their tour of the CNF cleanroom facility. 🏫🌐
As our students absorbed this incredible experience at Cornell University, they left not only with new skills but also with a vision of the crucial role they can play in shaping the future of welding technology. 💡🛠️
