On March 26, nine of our TST BOCES Career and Tech Animal Science students brought hands-on learning to Albany during the third annual Rural Resources Fair, hosted by Senator Rachel May and Assemblymember Anna Kelles.
Co-hosting a table with Nellie's Knoll Creamery (and their adorable baby goats!), our students showcased TST BOCES campus-led initiatives, promoted the power of CTE, and connected with legislators like Senator May and Senator Manktelo, among many others!

Eight student and staff teams hit the court in a high-energy, single-elimination tournament full of buzzer-beaters and big plays. In a thrilling final matchup, Team Trae-ning Day (Green) went head-to-head with Team Take it to the Rackers (Red)—and by just two baskets, Team Rackers took home the title and a year’s worth of bragging rights! 🏆🔥
This beloved tradition, started by former TST teacher Dustin Stuhr, continues to unite our community through friendly competition, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun.

Over the past week, TST's Regional School Success Department has engaged both the community and educators in meaningful learning experiences. Last Friday, we teamed up with Cornell University’s Math Department to screen Counted Out on Pi Day (3.14) 🎉, sharing insights on math education and raffling off some fun pi-related prizes! Today, RSS is shifting the focus to regional educators, bringing together teachers and staff from many of our component districts for a day of professional development and collaboration. 🐐Vet Skills & Goat Thrills: A Hands-On Day in Animal Science! 👩⚕️
The Animal Science classroom got extra cuddly the other day with some very special visitors—baby goats! 🥰🐐 Our students had the incredible opportunity to work 1:1 with the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine team during a disbudding procedure on the goats. Disbudding, the removal of horn buds in young goats, is a common vet practice that helps keep both the animals and their caretakers safe while managing herd dynamics.

Last Friday our TST BOCES Career and Tech Welding seniors got an exclusive all-access tour of the Cornell NanoScale Facility, exploring every floor from basement to ceiling to see the intricate piping and orbital welding that keep the cleanroom running.

The Pie2Face Annual Event was a smashing success—literally! 😆 Through Penny Wars, students and staff donated loose change to vote for who would get pied and who would do the pie-ing! 💰➡️🥧
Each penny added points for a staff member to take a pie to the face, while silver coins lowered their total—leading to some sneaky (and strategic!) sabotage. In the end, our fearless participants, including Mr. David Barr, Mr. Nathan Strange, Big Mike and more, took one for the team in the name of Exceptional Education! 👏💙
