From Photography to Diesel Equipment Technology to Baking & Pastry Arts, our students put their skills to the test—and made us so proud! 🔬⚙️ From Plasma to Precision—Our New Visions Engineering students put their skills to the test yesterday at Cornell NanoScale Facility! 🔬⚙️ Students got hands-on with advanced technology, using the Oxford PlasmaLab 80+ machine to precisely etch silicon nitride and the high-powered YES EcoClean Asher machine to remove photoresist with oxygen plasma. 🧑‍🔬 As a science experiment, students selected different thicknesses of silicon nitride to layer on their wafers. The result was a spectrum of vibrant colors—no two wafers were identical—as the varying thicknesses refracted light differently during the process. 🧪 Students left with custom-etched wafers resembling medals, proudly displaying "CNF ATLAS Program"—a one-of-a-kind keepsake from their time in the nano lab! 🏅 Superintendent Lily Talcott joined Mrs. Syracuse's seniors for this session, getting a firsthand look at the exciting, hands-on learning that defines the New Visions experience. 🎓 #NewVisionsEngineering #STEMinAction #HandsOnLearning #Nanotechnology #CornellNanoScale #FutureEngineers #ConnectingMindsInspiringGrowth #BOCESProud

🔥 Turning Up the Heat with Hands-on Learning! 🔥 Yesterday, UA Local 81 — United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry—brought the heat to our campus!
