Students in the Auto Body program at Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES are breathing new life into a 2007 Mercedes sedan.
Over the course of several weeks, Matt Lott’s students have completely restored a local resident’s vehicle to “showroom new” conditions. The luxury car sustained hail damage to its roof and hood, and the exterior had some scuffs and scratches. However, those cosmetic flaws have disappeared thanks to the efforts of the Auto Body students.
Students buffed out the dents, repainted, washed and waxed the Mercedes as part of the learning process. “Through hands-on experiences, they are able to prepare for potential careers in the automotive industry,” Lott said.Auto Body
