The Wellness Committee held a successful Lunch and Learn session Friday, March 17 on Superintendent’s Conference Day in the Smith School. For the committee’s first Lunch and Learn, Ithaca Family Chiropractic visited the TST campus to deliver a helpful and engaging presentation about stress management. There were around 35 people in attendance, and each department was represented.
“I am very grateful to wellness committee members, Flo Allen and Angela James for setting up what I hope is our first annual ‘Lunch and Learn’ program,” said Maxine Parker, Wellness Committee Coordinator. “Based on the feedback I received, everyone enjoyed the program and the delicious lunch.”
Dr. Mike Massari led the presentation, which included a few hands-on elements, such as models of spinal vertebrae, and ended with an electronic stress scan that detected where stress was being stored. A delicious and healthy lunch was provided by Ithaca Family Chiropractic. Offering many tips for how to reduce stress and keep your body healthy, hopefully this was the first of many similar events to come.
